Overview

One platform to run the entire lending operation.

Easy Credit Back Office is the internal desktop platform used by Easy Credit's own credit consultants to issue and manage loans for external clients — submitting loan applications, handling customer data, and running the approval process end to end.

The company was replacing an aging legacy system with an entirely new platform. I designed it from zero — no existing design system, no screens to build on — creating the design system, the information architecture and every screen from the ground up.

Loan application management

Customer data

Approval workflows

Structured credit approval and status tracking

Operational dashboards

Overviews built for daily consultant work

Role

My Role

I was the sole designer on a large project to replace a legacy system with a completely new internal platform — starting from absolute zero, from the design system to the final screens.

  • Designed the entire platform from scratch — no existing design system or screens to build on
  • Built a new design system and component library from the ground up
  • Structured the information architecture around real lending operations and business rules
  • Worked closely with business analysts to define every case and required feature
  • Prioritized the most critical functionality for a phased, buildable rollout
  • Sole designer in a Scrum team with Scrum Master, business analysts, developers and QA
Challenges

Challenges & Solutions

Starting from absolute zero

A full legacy replacement with no design system, no screens and no foundation to inherit.

Built the design system, component library and information architecture from the ground up as one coherent whole.

Translating business into product

Complex lending rules and operational cases had to become clear, usable screens.

Worked case by case with business analysts, turning requirements into structured, consistent workflows.

Too much to build at once

An operation this large couldn't be designed all at once.

Prioritized the most critical features first, so development could start and the platform could ship in phases.

Visuals

Platform Structure

Loan application — structured intake

Customer records — status-driven tables

Approvals — workflow and statuses

This is an internal system, so the interface can't be shown publicly. These schematics illustrate the platform's structure — detailed work available on request in a portfolio review call.

What this project strengthened: building a large product from nothing — where designing the system is as much the job as designing the screens.
